I felt incredibly fortunate to snag a copy of the February issue of Norwegian Elle. This edition is special because it includes an interview with Princess Märtha Louise of Norway and her three daughters, marking the first time they’ve all participated in an interview together. What’s more, Princess Märtha Louise mentioned this was their first photoshoot as a group.
The interview took place sometime before Christmas, and in a podcast episode by Norwegian Elle, released to highlight the interview, Märtha Louise shared how proud she is of her daughters. Märtha Louise and her late husband, Ari Behn, who tragically passed away in December 2019, are parents to Maud Angelica (20), Leah Isadora (18), and Emma Tallulah (15). Despite their varying interests, the interview radiates their strong, loving connection. A photoshoot for the magazine took place in Villa Inkognito in Oslo.
Maud, Leah and Emma – Princess Märtha Louise’s daughters
Maud, named in honor of her great-great-grandmother, the beloved Queen Maud of Norway, is both a talented author and artist. She often shares her artwork on social media and has even showcased her pieces in an art exhibition. Leah Isadora, on the other hand, is a fashion-forward influencer with a keen eye for vintage styles, modeling, photography, and makeup. She runs her own YouTube channel and TikTok page, sharing makeup tips and snippets of her life. True to her interests, Leah loves wearing vintage outfits from her mother and accessorizing with pieces from her grandmother, Queen Sonja of Norway. She even had the cool opportunity to attend the Dior fashion show in Paris with her grandmother in January 2024. Meanwhile, despite being young, Emma has made her mark as a member of the Norwegian national equestrian team. She’s happiest spending her free time in the stables and has proudly earned a Norwegian National bronze medal in the sport.

The February issue showcases a cover photo featuring Princess Märtha Louise and her daughters, Maud, Leah, and Emma, symbolizing their tight-knit bond. With Märtha Louise seated at the center, her daughters are close by, underscoring their strong family connection. Märtha and Leah chose elegant black dresses for the occasion, with Märtha complementing her look with a silver necklace, silver hoop earrings, her engagement ring, and maroon red nail polish. Leah opted for medium-sized gold hoop earrings. Maud stands out in a white shirt paired with a black blazer and tie, adorned with gold statement earrings. Her makeup, which she did herself, includes black winged liner and white eyeliner accented with stars, reflecting her artistic flair. Emma’s ensemble features a white shirt with ruffled sleeves and white jeans, showcasing a more subtle elegance. Except for Maud, who went a bit bolder, their makeup is minimalistic, with just a touch of pink in their lipstick, adding a gentle finish to their overall look.
The issue is filled with a variety of photos from the photoshoot conducted before Christmas in Villa Inkognito in Oslo, offering a glimpse into the lives of these remarkable ladies. It includes individual portraits of each woman, capturing their unique essence. There are also photos of the three sisters together, showcasing their sisterly bond, alongside the captivating cover photo. Additionally, the magazine features private family photos, providing an intimate look at their personal moments and highlighting the warmth and closeness of their family ties.
Märtha Louise gives off friendly vibes in a Podcast interview
From the podcast interview, it’s clear that Martha Louise is incredibly friendly, easygoing, and welcoming. There’s plenty of laughter throughout, and she genuinely seems to have a good time chatting with the podcast host. Right at the start, when the host inquires about the proper way to address her during their conversation, Martha Louise insists that there’s no need for formalities or her full title, Princess Martha Louise. “Just Märtha is fine,” she suggests.
Quotes from the magazine and the podcast episode
The podcast host described the athmosphere of the day of the interview for the magazine like this:
“From the moment I arrived at Villa Inkognito there was this insane energy in the room and the four of you are really so beautiful and nice people but at the same time so strong and clear personalities. It was so fun to sit and talk with you and listen to the humor, wisdom and warmth and how smoothly everything went. It was so much fun.”
To which Märtha Louise replies:
It is very nice that you should say that. It is my experience that we are a tight family. We have experienced a lot of pain together but also much joy and I believe this has strengthened our everyday life.
